My name is 郑素珍, I'm fourteen-years-old, and
I'm a student in seventh grade (Class 2) in
Beijing's Dandelion School. I come from He Nan
Province. I just came to Beijing this year and
visited many schools before choosing the Dandelion
School. I chose this school because it was one
step closer to helping me achieve my dreams.
Ever since I was little, I had many plans
for my future. But since I lived in the countryside,
I felt like there was only a slim chance that
my plan could come true. After careful consideration,
I decided that I wanted to become an unselfish,
caring teacher.
This goal influenced me throughout my life
and encouraged me to move forward. When I arrived
at the Dandelion School, I became one step closer
to reaching my goal. After studying here for
one semester, I felt the Dandelion School's
warmness and the Principal's love. Through some
events, I became even more aware of the care
the school's teachers bestowed upon me. For
example, I was only at the school for one semester
when I learned that I had to switch schools
because of my family's financial problems. However,
the Dandelion School's teachers and Principal
helped me solve my financial problem: they agreed
to help pay for my expenses so I can continue
my studies at the Dandelion School. Ever since
this incident, I was even more determined and
confident that I will become a teacher.
From now on, I'll study even harder. When
I grow up, I will help others and always remember
the guidance of my teachers. And I will constantly
remind myself that the help of others is what
enables me to go to school every day.
I love the Dandelion School's Principal and
teachers.
