To the revered Principal Zheng
Hi!
I'm writing this letter to you with tears
of gratefulness. Because I could not stand domestic
violence, I divorced with my child’s father.
Unluckily, the child became a child with a single-parent
family.
These two years, I have not been with my child
and I have not fulfilled my responsibilities
as a mother. I feel very guilty, like I owe
my child too much…
Last week was my child's fourteenth birthday.
Only until 5:00PM did I remember to text my
child's homeroom teacher, Ms. Liu Wang Hong,
to give a happy birthday message and my love
to my child.
Usually it's me who calls my child; he never
calls me. This Sunday, however,my child unexpectedly
called me. On the phone, my child excitedly
told me, “Mama, on my birthday, teacher Liu
and our math teacher took me to a very nice
restaurant and told me to order my favorite
dishes. They even specially ordered two eggs
and a bowl of long-life noodles! They wished
me a happy birthday and hoped my wishes will
come true! The teachers are too nice to me.
I want to study hard to show them my thanks!…”
Hearing this, I couldn't hold in my tears anymore;
they fell onto my cellphone…
Principal Zheng, my son has switched between
five different schools in Beijing, and the Dandelion
School is the best one! I remember when I first
came to school to visit my child. I saw how
simple the school was, but I felt how very kind
the teachers were!…
Speaking of teacher Liu Yu Hong, I heard the
children say that when some students were ill
and didn't eat, she often used her own money
to buy them food; when she went out of town
to study, she never forgot to bring back some
local delicacies for the entire class. To help
the students practice good penmanship, teacher
Liu bought stencils, exercise books, and pens
for those who didn't have any. Sometimes teacher
Liu would be angered to tears, but she still
gave all her love to the children! She is a
qualified mother-like amazing teacher!
My son had only been in the Dandelion School
for six months when he became a “Little Dandelion.”
Living in such a love-filled big family has
enabled the children to learn more about life,
to care about others, and to love studying,
working, and helping their classmates to climb
the stairs to success.
Seeing my child grow up physically and mentally
healthy in such a good school environment, words
alone can't express my gratefulness to the principal
and teachers!
Again I have to sincerely say:
Thank you, revered principal!
Thank you, dear teachers!

are coincidentally the same.
