After the guests arrived, the students and teachers held a welcoming ceremony. Then the guests went to five classes to communicate with the students. Then, they visited the school's lab, boys dormitory, a big map, the library, and others. Finally, they congregated in the auditorium Miss. Guan Yin Shan gave a speech encouraging students to work hard. The school's girls chorus sang two songs: the "Dandelion Song" and "Little World." After the meeting, Miss. Guan Yin Shan and others went to Li Cai Ming's (a seventh-grader of class 3) home to visit.
At 4:40PM, a teachers conference was held to summarize the event and the basic knowledge contest and discussed how to assign homework for winter break.

morning: Tsinghua University's Psychology Department's three students and four students from Beijing Normal University came to research how to expand the school's psychology education program with the principal and political teacher. At 1:40PM, Ai Kang Wang Health Science Ltd.'s President Zhang and Dr. Wang came to school to hold a "Guan Ai Cheng Zhang-----Ai Kang Pi Lin Ji Chen Ai Xin Juan Zeng Yi Shi Ji Health Lecture" for seventh-graders of class 4.

1:00PM: "Tong Zhong Gong Ji, Tong Xin Tong De" commencement meeting was held for the teachers. New Path Endowment's Wu Chun Jing, Chen Jing Jing, Wang Yan, Zhang Wei Guan, and others attended the meeting.
Teachers Ma Sheng Lan, Liu Yi Dan, Huang Shu Sheng, Song Gui Rong, Pang Yu Juan will not be teaching the following year so a farewell party was held for them.
This semester, ten faculty members received "Outstanding Faculty" awards and Huo Zhong Jin Teacher Awards. Their names are: Zhao Yan Ru, Wang Jian Hua, Zhang Zhong Yuan, Zhou Xian Na, Liu Yu Hong, Jiao Ming Li, Zheng Fei, Ren Ming Ming, Wu Kai Jun, and Liu Si Hai. During the commencement meeting, the "With my soul's eyes I will understand you" activity began; faculty members described small, day-to-day events that touched everyone's hearts and made them understand the love and grandeur in the world around us that solidified the Dandelion School's determination to improve itself and the theme "Tong Zhou Tong Ji, Tong Xin Tong De."
The meeting ended amidst the songs "Friend" (sung by New Path Endowment) and "We, the People of the Dandelion School" (sung by the school's faculty members).

4:10PM: The "World Education" organization invited Principal Zheng, Principal Hu, President Wang, Teacher Huang, Sun Hong Cheng, Jou Pei Shan to visit Cambodia.

9:40AM: Opening Day Ceremony is held. Chinese Children's Theater's Mr. Du Sheng Xian came to sing and recite to the students. Director Wang Xiang Yi of the Chinese Culture Committee for the Underprivileged brought three boxes of books to the school. Miss. Katie, Miss. Wang Yuan Qiong, and Miss. Jin Xiu Fang of JP Morgan Chase Bank; Beijing Hua Yu Education Assistance Foundation's Miss. Kang Yong Feng; New Path's Hu Chuan Shuo, Chen Jing Jing, and Chen Yu; and Zhi Xin Sisters web's Shang Dong Xing and Wang Ying came to school. Some of the students' parents attended the ceremony as well. In the afternoon, Mercy Corps's representative, Kitchen and Bath Industry Organization's Secretary Director Mu Yong, and Ren Min University's Professor Bai came to discuss further cooperation between the schools.

2:00PM: CPPCC's Jou Ding De (Chinese News Association), Cui Lin, Deng Hua Jun, and Gao Yu Feng came to research the school. Da Xing district's Vice President Qu and Education Committee's Vice Director Sun Yong came to talk with the National Political Negotiating Committee about federal developments. The police's manager Li Yong Guo came to provide security for the school. During the seventh and eighth periods, all teachers held a conference. Each teacher shared their thoughts about their winter break experiences and received their work assignments. The National Police Department delivered 1000kg of ground corn.

morning: Jing Xi School's teachers came to take pictures of the students. The Chinese Youth Newspaper Printing Factory's Director Ou Jian donated 0.8 tons of printer paper.

afternoon: the first after-school ceremony is held. After the public announcement of the inspection results, the class union shouted, "This week we passed the inspection; next week will be even better!"

afternoon: The 3rd Annual Group Exercise competition was held with the Dandelion School's seventh and eight-graders. Seventh-grade Class 3 won first place, Seventh-grade Class 2 came in second place, and seventh-grade class 4 came in third place.

afternoon: Yu You Cai and Sai Yin described the Nike-sponsored teacher training program. Zheng Fei gave an exciting speech. Principal Zheng, President Wang, and Vice Principal Hu answered the teachers' questions; Principal Zheng talked about the teacher training and self-training program requirements.

afternoon: During ninth period, teachers studied the introduction of Collection of the Best Works by Tao Xing Zhi, which was published by the Zhong Jin Award Committee.

afternoon: CCTV News Channel journalist Feng Chen and Zhi Xin Sisters Web's Wang Ying came to talk with the students about starting a journalism station at the school. Dai Ming came to discuss matters related to teacher training.

afternoon: CCTV's Feng Chen and China Children's Press and Publication Group's Shang Dong Xing and Wang Ying Yi visited the school. During ninth period, a week-long essay contest for seventh and eighth-graders began. Chinese group leader Yan Xi Bin hosted and encouraged students to enter. Teacher Wang De An announced the contest rules. Every class challenged the others with its own war cry. CCTV's Feng Chen talked about the importance of reading based on his own experiences. Zhi Xin Sister Teacher Zhang taught ninth-graders about how to reduce pressure.

afternoon: Volunteer He Min came to teach English to the ninth-graders until 9PM. Zhang Wei Guang taught ninth-graders how to choose their own careers. During eighth and ninth periods, teachers held a meeting to visit and inspect each others' classrooms, offices, and dormitories for cleanliness. They discussed how to initiate fan club activities.

morning: Harvard University's Education College President Kathryn McCarthy and her husband came to visit and talk with the teachers. American ambassador's wife Sarah came along.

afternoon: Volunteers from Beijing Teacher University, Tsinghua University, and twelve people from Capital Teacher University tutored ninth-graders.

afternoon: Wang Jun of China Chess Research Center's Development Department and Wang Yan of New Path Endowment came to teach students army chess.

10:00AM: Vice President Gu Xiu Lian visited the school. Accompanying her were District leader Shen Bao Chang, leader Qu Feng Hong, representative Zhang Shu Ling, District Education Director Li Da, Vice Director Wang Chun Hui, etc… Representative Gu visited ninth-graders of class 3, girls dormitories, auditorium, library, and computer education classroom. She reported the school's situation to the visitors in the computer education classroom. Representative Gu said very emotionally, "Employment is a necessity for human beings; education is the foundation of people's lives, and a successful school needs important qualities."

9:40AM: Pu Yuan teacher representative group came to school, first visiting the students' homes. 10:20AM they returned to visit the school. They taught a class during fourth period. At noon, they ate lunch with the students. After lunch, they talked to the teachers.

6:30AM: Ninth-graders get their physicals done in the nurse's office. In the afternoon, Tao Xing Zhi School's Principal Jin Ya Ru; Vice Principal Peng Xuan; Directors Wang Jing Yuan, Duan Pei Xin, Li Chun Xia; and Assistant Director Li Guo Hong came to discuss cooperation opportunities with the Dandelion School.

9:30AM: Professor Gao Huan Xiang (Beijing Technology Career School's President) came to train the teachers. He said, "Creativity and human morals are two major topics."

New Path Endowment held an annual conference. In the afternoon, the Big Friend Organization (part of New Path Endowment) took the children to Reindeer Park. Shou Shi Da began tutoring eighth-graders of class 4.

afternoon: Teacher Gong Ming Yue borrowed Zhong Hua Nu Zi Xue Yuan's bus to bring students to Bei Shi Da to participate in the tenth annual Beijing College Students Movie Festival about caring for planet Earth. They watched movies Warm Spring and Twenty-Five Children have One Father.

Because of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank's Mr. Lipp's donations and teacher volunteers Wu Chun Jing and Chen Ya Nan's help, all the students and teachers traveled to Ju Yong Guan Great Wall at 6:30AM. At 3:40PM, they returned and everything went smoothly.
