In the morning, Mr Lei Xiao Bin took 25 students to the 21st Century Experimental School in Hai Dian District to attend the international summer camp for middle school students. Staff from JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. held the second parents meeting in our school.

3-Aug

In the morning, school headmaster Dr. Zheng went to Tao Xing Zhi High School to discuss about the possibility for Dandelion graduates to attend high school. At noon, School Headmaster Mr. Pan, Mr. Jin, and director Li and director Wang came to Dandelion to discuss the partnership with Dandelion to set up a Dandelion Class at Hai Dian Foreign Language and Electricity School.

4-Aug

Hai Dian Foreign Language and Electricity School Headmaster Mr. Pan decided to set up an experiment class of 40 students and call it the Dandelion Class.

6-Aug

In the morning, all students of summer camp, including volunteers and teachers took a visit to the Military Museum.

7-Aug

In the afternoon, the English summer camp held a big match of interest and sports games and had the English vocabularies competition.

8-Aug

In the morning, the Headmaster Dr. Zheng and Mr. Yu You Cai took 15 people including students and volunteers to Beijing Bay to participate in the one year count down for 2008 Olympics. In the afternoon, staff from the Beijing Foreign Language and Electricity School came to distribute admission notices to students who are qualified to enroll. In the evening, we held a farewell party to send off volunteers from Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong University.

9-Aug

In the morning, teachers delegation from Primary Source in the USA came to Dandelion to demonstrate English teaching. In the afternoon at 1:30, we held the 3rd Happy Dandelion English Summer Camp Closing Ceremony. Mr. Liu Ning, the program officer of the New Path Big Friend Program and volunteer Mr. Wang Yan came to school. At 4:30 pm, Dr. Zheng convened an evaluation meeting for volunteer teachers to say goodbye to each other. Almost everyone had tears in their eyes.

14-Aug

In the morning, students who will attend Beijing Foreign Language Electronics Vocational High School came to Dandelion School to receive their stipend and scholarship notice.

27-Aug

Sent off 37 students to Beijing Foreign Language Alectronics Vocational High School.

28-Aug

In the morning, an old friend of Dandelion Angela came to our schoool with her friend and promised she will come to Dandelion next year to volunteer for teaching. All teachers reported for duty.

29-Aug

In the afternoon, Ms. Niu, Mr. Zhang Zhong Yuan and Ms. Lu Xiao Juan went to Industrial and Business Association in Huang Cun to bring back books donated to our school.

31-Aug

The ophthalmology of the Second Artillery Hospital came to our school and checked eyes for teachers for free. They decided to give operation for Mr. Lei Xiao Bin, Mr. Zhang Jun Jie and Ms. Jiao Ming Li.
